Curriculum
The foundation of the MS program specializations, core courses teach students how to apply machine learning algorithms to real data, clean, process, visualize, and archive contemporary datasets, including text, picture, and biometric data. They also teach them how to use the mathematical and statistical language used by data scientists.
Every course equips students with the skills they need to excel in both their particular programs and the capstone, the DATA-793 Data Science Practicum, where they will gain practical experience collaborating on projects with faculty members and other researchers.
